How was your vacation? 假期如何呢？

這是最常被問的一句話，可以這樣回答：
It was great. It was nice to get away from Taipei.（很棒。可以離開台北很好。）

Where did you go for your New Year’s vacation? 年假時你去了哪裡呢？

被問這個問題時，就可以介紹你去的地方，例如：
I went to Tainan, and it was the first time I’ve been there. It is such a beautiful city with so many historic monuments.
（我去了台南，這是我第一次去台南。它是個很美的城市，還有許多歷史古蹟。）

How long were you there for? 你在那邊待了多久？

可以描述你去了幾天，做了什麼，拜訪那些地方，如：
We were there for three days. It was the perfect amount of time for us to visit both the Confucius Temple and Taijiang National Park. And we also got to try their well-known beef soup twice.
（我們在那裡待了三天。若要拜訪孔廟和台江國家公園，三天對我們來說很剛好。我們還吃了兩次那裡有名的牛肉湯。） 

Who did you go with? 你跟誰去玩？

可以這樣回答：
I went with my family. It has been a long time since we took a family trip together. We took a ton of pictures the whole time.
（我和家人一起去。我們家已經很久沒有一起家庭旅遊了。這次我們拍了非常多照片。） 

Would you recommend it to your friends? 你會推薦朋友去那裡嗎？

無論推薦或不推薦，都可以多描述一下理由喔：
Yes! It’s a really nice city. The weather is always pleasant. People there are friendly, and the food is delicious. Tainan is an excellent choice if you want to go somewhere warm this time of the year.
（會！台南是個很棒的城市。天氣總是很好。那邊的人很友善，食物也很好吃。如果你想在這個時節去溫暖的地方，台南是很棒的選擇。）
